ROYAL RENAISSANCE CHESS™

 

       ROYAL RENAISSANCE CHESS™, which has an almost equal appearance as the LANDMINE CHECKERS™ board, but was redesigned for the world's most advanced game of Chess.  The game uses many more playing pieces, and has two Royal Safe Rooms, for the Queens to hide.  The board itself has over twice the amount of playing spaces than a regular Chess, or chequered board.

         An entirely new piece: "The King's Guard" was created and added for this game.  It is placed on the board two spaces away - directly in front of the King.

         The King's space is on the Sword.  The King's Guard is on the Templar Cross in front of the Sword.  The Queen is located on the Royal Arrow.  Four Knights, are located on the Royal Knights Crosses.  The Bishops & Rooks, are also visible.  These images, are part of the board's design and make it easier for players to set up the pieces correctly.

         Unlike regular Chess sets, ROYAL RENAISSANCE CHESS™ uses three Bishops, and three Rooks, instead of only two.  It has one King & Queen, with four Knights, and twelve Pawns.  The twelve Pawns take their traditional settings across the second row of chequered squares.  The new edition of the King's Guard never moves - until he is forced to protect the King, or is removed via a play.  Likewise, the King cannot be moved, until his King's Guard, has been taken out by the opposing side.

         The Queens can hide in either of the two Royal Rooms, for a total of three complete plays, but then must be moved out, or else they will be captured.  Only the Queens can use these two new spaces, and no other pieces can ever move onto them in any way.

         A totally different set of rules and epic playing strategies apply to this new board and its playing pieces, which will change the world of Chess forever.
